  • Rock Garden Iris
These early naturalizing Rock Garden Iris have standards, the inner upright petals, and falls, the outer petals that open downward, often revealing contrasting colors on the petal's spine. Clusters of Rock Garden Iris dotted along the length of a garden border or winding path are so lovely in early spring. (They are also good for forcing: pot them up, precool them at a consistent, dark 35°F to 48°F for six to eight weeks with moderate watering. Bring them into the house~they will bloom two to four weeks later.) Bulb size: 6 cm/up. Early April. Plant 4" deep and 4" to 5" apart. HZ: 5-9. Height: 4" to 6", unless otherwise noted.
