Memorial Day Red, White and Blue Special
We are hopelessly addicted to the sight of Peonies interplanted with Ambassador. It is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Here we have grouped together Herbaceous Peonies Festiva maxima (white with occassional raspberry flecks) and Red Charm (merlot-red) with Allium Ambassador. There is a significant period of over-lapping blooms, and some years, if we are lucky, they bloom in time for Memorial Day!
Please note that we cannot ship this special until around the second week in October when we receive our Peony rootstocks from the Netherlands. Individually bagged and labeled, it is specially priced about 20% less than our already terrific prices. Normal shipping charges apply. Bloom time: June in horticultural zone 5. Top size Allium Ambassador bulbs: 20 cm/up. Plant 6" to 8” deep and 8” to 10” apart. Top size Peony rootstocks: 3 to 5 eyes. Plant shallowly with just 2” of soil over the top of the rootstock. (Visit www.johnscheepers.com for complete horticultural instructions.) Horticultural zones 5-7.
(Please note that due to state agricultural restrictions, we are not permitted to ship Allium bulbs to Idaho or the following 5 counties in the state of Washington: Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat.)
