The Naturalizing Narcissus Special

Naturalizing Narcissi are like old friends who make faithful spring visits to your family, year in and year out. Here, we offer four tried-and-true varieties that are known to be good naturalizers.

To promote naturalization, plant them in well-draining, sandy loam to the designated depth and space apart in the fall when the soil has cooled down to around 55° F. Broadcast a 5-10-5 or 4-10-6 organic granular fertilizer over the surface of the bed (and in the spring when they begin to sprout, and again when the flower dies back). Do not cut stems for bouquets. Allow the foliage to die back naturally (about six weeks after blooming), unfettered and uncovered by other plant material for maximum photosynthesis.

Individually bagged and labeled, it is specially priced about 20% less than our already terrific prices. Normal shipping charges apply. Height: 18” to 20”. Bulb size: 14/16 cm. Bloom time: April. Plant 6” deep and 6” apart. Horticultural zones 3-7.
